NOVEMBER AT A GLANCE

Happy November everyone! Welcome to the calm before the storm, the period before the busiest time of the year and all the holiday chaos ensues. For BSG, we may very well be in a busy storm already, as we have a ton of new and exciting events and sales that will be released in the next few weeks!

What’s on the top of this month’s list? We will be having our annual Black Friday Cyber Monday Sale, the best sale of the year! POINTS FOR DONATION

Before we get into everything that’s new for November, we want to remind our readers that last month we partnered with a new featured organization to be the beneficiary of our Points for Donation initiative: National CARES Mentoring Movement.

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: VIVIAN XUE RAHEY

You may have seen spotted her press-on work of art on Instagram or perhaps watched one of her videos on TikTok where she has amassed nearly 2 million fans. Whichever it may be, we are excited to introduce this month’s Artist Spotlight, our Brand Ambassador Vivian Xue (@vivxue).

Let's start from the beginning, could you introduce yourself to our readers and tell us where you are based and how you got into the nail industry!

“My name is Vivian Rahey! (@vivxue on IG/Tiktok) I am based in the San Francisco Bay Area and I got into the nail industry just blogging about nail art I tried to make on myself! I really didn't think I would be any good at it, but at the time, I was messing around with regular polishes trying to paint stuff I loved. I became addicted and loved it so much I couldn't stop!”

If you weren't a nail technician, what other profession or career could you see yourself in?

“I was a front-end developer/software engineer before! I definitely still do this as part of running my business Pamper Nail Gallery. I'm a very analytical person who likes art too, so I think this career path rounded out my art style. 😅”

Your nail art is amazing and the details are impeccable - to date what is your favorite nail set/look you've done and how long did it take to complete?

“I still think that my Rush Hour nails are my favorite because it was my childhood favorite movie and I know all the lines to it. It took me 18 hours to paint Jackie Chan, Chris Tucker, and Soo Young. I really wish I kept those nails because I miss them SO MUCH.”

Could you share with us your favorite nail look using BSG products/colours and let us know what your favourite BSG colour is!

“I painted this fall woodlands scene using all BSG colors!! My favorite BSG color is definitely Ember (which you see featured here)”

Going back to your incredible artistic ability - I recall one nail look that you did with Wanda and Vision and thought it was super cool and creative that Vision changed from black and white to red! Your videos on TikTok are also hilarious! Where do you pull your inspiration from for your creativity when creating these nail looks and videos?

“I feed off the energy of my clients nowadays! I paint every day and so constantly try to find new and exciting ways to make movies, shows, and art come alive! I usually watch the shows themselves, and think of ways to make the nail video equivalent of the subject I'm asked to create something around.”

We'd love to give you a chance to plug in anything you'd like to share with us and the readers! Is there any exciting new projects or content that we can expect upcoming from you?

Nothing I can share publicly yet...but there is something huge that we're working on and hope to announce in 2022!

THE BSG STORE

As we are coming to the end of 2021, we are so excited to announce the grand re-opening of the BSG Store in Toronto, ON Canada! The BSG Store will be our Flagship Retail Store, center of professional and DIY education + workshops and THE place for a unique experience for our BSG Squad!
